2 dead mice found inside Little Havana bakery

An inspector with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Division of Food Safety was at Victoria Bakery this week and found 17 violations.

According to the inspection report, two dead mice were found in a storage area.

A “Stop-Use” order was placed on the storage areas where single service items are stored.

According to the report, that area must be cleaned and sanitized, and the establishment has been ordered to develop a pest management control program.

“Observed holes in the ceiling leading to the storage area; holes in the wall in the dry storage area and dining room. Observed wall and floor by the 3-compartment sink heavily soiled.”

“Person in charge unable to provide records documenting training of qualified individuals.”

“Observed food establishment not registered with the FDA.”

“Observed rear screened door with gaps underneath not preventing entry of pests.”

“Observed floor leading to the entrance of food storage with water seeping on the other side of the air conditioning wall.”

“Observed rusted reach in freezer not in use may constitute harborage of pests; plastic crates discarded by the exterior rear door.”
