Authorities in Miami Beach are investigating a shooting that occurred Thursday night at a restaurant.

According to authorities, an argument inside the restaurant occurred moments before the shooting.

A bullet hole could be seen through the window and food was spilled onto the ground.

“That’s scary because it’s Miami — (there’s) a lot of fighting going on,” Roshan Samarasingh said.

Samarasingh said he heard the shots as he was working and stepped outside to look.

“Last night around 9:30 we heard about two gunshots. I was working at the video store next to them, so right away we came out. There was a lot of police cars here,” he said.

Police closed the area between Espanola Way and 12th Avenue, from Collins Avenue to Drexel Avenue, as officers investigated. All roadways have since reopened.

Authorities have not released any information about a possible suspect. They say the victim is OK and has been released from the hospital.

Police are now working several leads to find out who was the culprit behind the shooting.

Anyone with further information is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
