Miami police seek public’s help identifying 2 men sought in connection with woman’s beating
Miami police released surveillance video Friday that shows two men who are wanted in connection with the brutal beating of a woman inside a hotel room last year.
Police were called to the Miami Marriott Biscayne at 1633 N. Bayshore Drive around 5:45 p.m. Dec. 31 in reference to a woman who was found unresponsive inside a hotel room.
While the incident occurred six months ago, detectives have exhausted all leads and are requesting the community’s assistance.
According to authorities, an employee at the hotel told responding officers that the woman, who was a guest at the hotel, failed to check out of her room on the scheduled date, which led them to check her room.
That’s when the woman was found unresponsive and severely battered.
Police said the victim was immediately taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami Fire Rescue, where she received extensive treatment.
Police are searching for two men who they are calling persons of interest in the case.
One was described by police as a white male with a black Mohawk-style haircut. He was last seen wearing a black mask, red shirt, jean jacket, camouflage pants and sneakers.
The second person of interest was described by police as a black male, who was last seen wearing a light-colored hat, white mask, black shirt and black pants.
