About Howyi Meekx

Pr!nce Howyi Meekx is one of Streaminn Hub Radio’s premiere DJs. He began his media career with a certificate in Television Production and a job at the local public access television station (WLRN-TV) in Miami, FL in the late 1990s. Between 2001 and 2006, he earned a degree in Radio Broadcasting and Television, and another in Journalism and Mass Communications. As a journalism major, he was the student ambassador for the South Florida Black Journalists Association (SFBJA), during which he traveled to Atlanta, Indianapolis, and Las Vegas for the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) conventions. He was also tasked with recruiting new student members for the SFBJA, chairing meetings, and co-organizing events. Howyi also wrote for Sakeena Mathis’s Urban Professionals Magazine while in school, and interned in radio with Cheryl Mizell at WEDR (99Jamz) in Hollywood, FL, and in news at WFOR-TV (CBS4) in Miami, FL.

In late 2008, Howyi started his own DJ and entertainment business called Royalty DJ & Entertainment (RDJ&E), providing DJ services for weddings, birthday parties, baby showers, and just about any event. RDJ&E also provides karaoke hosting services, and occasional Public Address (PA) system services. The media path that started in the 1990s for Howyi came full-circle in late 2020, when he was asked by longtime friend Beverly “Bigwheelz” Williams to co-host her podcast on Streaminn Hub Radio and also provide musical entertainment. This opportunity led to Streaminn Hub CEO Kemar “Flava” McGregor asking him to host his own program which he called Howyi Meekx: In Da Mixx, in which he produces, writes, and delivers his on-air content.
