Texas school massacre: Slain teacher’s husband dies of ‘grief,’ relative says

Joe Garcia, the widow of one of the teachers killed during the recent Texas school massacre, died on Thursday. A relative announced the cause of death was “grief.”

Garcia was married to Irma Garcia for more than 20 years and had four children: Cristian, Jose, Lyliana, and Alysandra.

“PLEASE PRAY FOR OUR FAMILY, God have mercy on us, this isn’t easy,” John Martinez wrote on Twitter.

The fourth-grade teacher died after Salvador Ramos, 18, shot and killed her Tuesday in her classroom at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde.

Ramos also killed Eva Mireles, a teacher who worked with Garcia at Robb Elementary, and 19 fourth-grade students.
