Dozens march against gun violence in memory of Jazzmine Brayboy
A reverend led dozens to march against gun violence in memory of a slain 22-year-old woman on Thursday in Pompano Beach.
The march started at the Mount Calvary Baptist Church, at 800 NW 8th Ave., and ended with prayer next to the canal where deputies found Jazzmine Brayboy dead in a Chevrolet Camaro.
Detectives believe Brayboy crashed after her boyfriend shot her. Her 5-month-old godson, Aziyah, was in a baby seat in the car. A witness rescued him after he survived the shooting and the crash.
Deputies arrested Brayboy’s 17-year-old boyfriend for murder and he is facing charges in Broward County.
