Man dead, woman injured after afternoon shooting in northeast Miami-Dade
Police are investigating a deadly shooting that took place in broad daylight on Monday aftenroon.
Sky 10 was over the scene along Northeast 181st Street and Sixth Avenue where a red car was parked on the side of a road.
Not far away from the car was a yellow tarp that appeared to be covering a body.
The car that was the focus of police investigators could be seen with bullet holes in the driver side door and window, as well as on the passenger side.
Police said they responded to the scene, which is not far from I-95, just after 3:30 p.m. Monday.
In addition to the man who was shot and killed, a woman was taken to the hospital, according to police.
Police said the man was driving the car and the woman was a passenger, and that she was shot in the hand.
Investigators are looking into whether a third person was in the vehicle, and if they were coming from a nearby club or not.
Officers are searching for the person or persons inside a vehicle that was seen speeding away from the scene, but authorities have yet to provide a description of that car.
