Man shot at Lauderhill gas station, crashes twice trying to drive to hospital

Authorities in Broward County are investigating a shooting that ended in a crash.

It all started at a Valero gas station on busy State Road 7 just north of Sunrise Boulevard in Lauderhill.

Police said the victim was at the gas station and heard gunshots, before realizing that he had been shot.

The man then jumped into his car hoping he could quickly drive himself to a hospital, but then things got complicated and something went wrong.

He ended up crashing his car into a palm tree right outside Rick Case Hyundai, which is just half a mile down the street from the gas station where it all started.

While rushing to the hospital, the injured man also hit a second car.

The woman driving that car wasn’t hurt.

The man who was shot was taken to the hospital by Lauderhill Fire Rescue in serious condition.
