Woman arrested after stabbing teenage boy, man, 18, in Pompano Beach, deputies say
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a 35-year-old mother on Friday accusing her of stabbing a teenage boy and an 18-year-old man during a fight after a high school football game.
Deputies said Darkus Essilanette Sanders said she struck the boys who were in a fight with her son, but she did not stab them. The fight was on Thursday at the Mitchell Moore Park, at 901 NW 10th St., in Pompano Beach, deputies said.
The victims did not suffer life-threatening injuries, deputies said. The football game was between Blanche Ely High School and McArthur High School.
Records show Sanders is facing a charge of aggravated battery causing great bodily harm, permanent disfigurement, or permanent disability.
